Bauhaus is a British rock band (formed in Northampton in 1978) that was popular in the 80. Although there were precursors of the Gothic style bands, many consider the first Goth band Bauhaus. Bauhaus combined a number of punk and glam rock influences. His sound influenced, inspired and drew attention to a set of post-punk groups generating intense and sad style came to be the gothic rock.
In 1980 they recorded their first LP "In The Flat Field", a claustrophobic and dense album, which followed the paths set by their debut single and that was among the champions of the Gothic movement / loss with bands as Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Cure or Joy Division.
